Ebenezer Community Learning Centre has an Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service to support its users. Students who need to speak with an IAG Officer, can do so in confidence by booking an appointment with Administration or the IAG office. Our advisers are competent in giving advice following the Guidance Accreditation Board (GAB) Code of Principles. (These are available on request).
There is a comprehensive network of local agencies that are available and we can help you contact them if you need to seek further assistance. See NextStep
Our guidance staff can also provide information and advice on issues such as benefits, immigration, homelessness and health issues.
Ebenezer is committed to continuous improvement in order to ensure that our training, advice and guidance services are of the highest quality. ECLC achieved the matrix quality standard for information, advice and guidance services an accolade in recognition of the quality of service that is offered to our users.
This is a free service available to young people age 13-19 or up to 25 years old with learning difficulty or disability. They are able to assist you with Information, Advice and Guidance whether you enrol on a programme or just need impartial support.
Finding the right job or career is not easy. Are you aware of all the options open to you when you finish learning?
This may mean finding employment, but it is just likely to involve thinking about further and higher education, training, voluntary work or many other possibilities.
If you want a personal and confidential interview with our qualified Career’s Guidance Adviser, it is best to make an appointment through the centre’s reception, but we can often see you for a short discussion if you drop in during certain times.
During term time a member of staff from the IAG service will be on site Monday to Friday, from 10am to 3.00pm and during vacation 10.00am to 3.00pm Monday to Thursday to assist students in finding part-time or temporary jobs.
Our aim is to provide a space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a safe and confidential environment.
We are available to help you – just ask.
